HG Wells Fiction Short Story Competition
Description
The annual HG Wells Fiction Short Story Competition offers a £500 Senior and £1,000 Junior prize and free publication of all shortlisted entries in a quality, professionally published paperback anthology. All entries must relate to the theme for this year’s Competition: Switch.
Prize
The Margaret and Reg Turnill Competition for young writers of 21 years and under, for which the prize winner receives £1,000, and a competition for the over 21s which offers The Grand Prize of £500.

Sketch for Survival 2022
Description
The donated artworks are sold via online auction, with all proceeds going to our Project Fund. Sketch for Survival raised nearly £60,000 for nominated conservation projects in 2020 and nearly £90,000 in 2021.

SIR PETER USTINOV TELEVISION SCRIPTWRITING AWARD
Description
The competition is open to non-American novice writers aged between 18 and 30 years old. “ The competition is designed to motivate non-American novice writers under the age of 30, and offer them the recognition and encouragement that might lead to a successful career in television scriptwriting.
